Nationalist Party and Opposition Leader Bernard Grech said that celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of Independence Day will go ahead as a tribute to Karl Gouder who passed away during the week.
Speaking on the party’s television, Bernard Grech spent the majority of his speech extolling the virutes of the former MP who had just announced his intention of running for Secretary General of the Nationalist Party.
He said the celebrations would go ahead as planned not only because Karl Gouder would have wanted it but also because his family had asked for them to go ahead. “Karl’s loss is not just a loss for his family or for the PN, but it is a loss for the entire country,” he said.
