The Minister for Social and Affordable Accommodation Roderick Galdes inaugurated Binja Dr. Joe Brincat; a new social housing project in Luqa. This project will be providing a safe and dignified residence to 46 families and a total of 55 garages and spaces for cars, including spaces for cars for people with disabilities.
Minister Galdes during the inauguration explained how this project was carried out with a substantial investment of around 5 million euros. He stressed that through social projects like these, they are offering a dignified environment that will continue to raise the quality of life for families. “This project will not only provide a safe roof, but also a better quality of life for our beneficiaries, who due to different life circumstances will need the help of the state,” repeated Minister Galdes.
The Minister stated that it was appropriate to give this social project an appropriate name that commemorates the work and memory of Dr. Joe Brincat, who has worked so hard in the social field. Present for this inauguration were also the relatives of the late Dr. Brincat The Minister saluted the memory of Dr. Brincat who in the past served as Minister of Housing, as well as always remaining a strong social voice.
