The Minister for Health and Active Aging Jo Etienne Abela in a news conference explained in more detail the verbal process of the magisterial inquiry into the death of Stephen Mangion. An inquiry that was led by Magistrate Joe Mifsud and that on the recommendation of the same Magistrate, the verbal process linked to it was published.
In his address, Minister Abela said how the inquiry recognized that the professionals working in the Emergency Department did everything necessary to provide a professional service and in the circumstances tried to save the life of Stephen Mangion.
The Minister Jo Etienne Abela emphasized that great damage was done to the morale of the employees working in the emergency with the baseless criticism and lack of truths that were written on social media. He supported how these employees do everything to give complete and professional medical assistance to everyone who resorts to this service, day and night.
Minister Abela reiterated how the Government will continue to give all support to these professionals.
“We will continue to invest in the Emergency Department and the public should continue to rest assured that the service was and will remain of the highest quality,” concluded Minister Jo Etienne Abela.
