Simonds Farsons Cisk plc is proud to announce its support of ultra-endurance athlete and clean seas activist Neil Agius in his re-attempt at a world record swim, through its brand Cisk 0.0 Alcohol-Free Lager.
Announced last July, the challenge is expected to be held in the second half of September and will see Agius swim the open-sea route along the coastal waters of the entire Maltese archipelago, covering approximately 160km.
The gruelling challenge is expected to take three days and will require an estimated 175,000 strokes.
If successful, Agius will break the current world record for the longest non-stop, unassisted, current neutral sea swim, which he himself holds.
Susan Weenink Camilleri, Head of Sales & Marketing at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, said of this partnership, “Neil is inspirational both as a sportsperson and also as an ambassador of our oceans. His world record attempts have always captured the public’s heart and imagination as well as ours. Through this sponsorship we are supporting his environmental efforts and his significant work with Wave of Change, a movement of people taking action to bring about change by raising awareness on the impact of daily decisions and inspiring choices that are driven by sustainability and compassion. This partnership is a
natural fit for our brand Cisk 0.0 and we wish Neil the very best of luck in this next challenge.”
Cisk 0.0 Alcohol-Free Lager is brewed, marketed and distributed by Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. It is brewed using the same traditional and natural ingredients as the original Cisk Lager. The beer is fermented and matured before all the alcohol is then removed through a gentle process specifically designed to remove the alcohol from the beer whilst retaining the flavour, resulting in those refreshing fruity notes and a soft malty finish that are synonymous with the Cisk brand. Launched in 2022, Cisk 0.0 is the latest addition to
the Cisk brand portfolio that also includes Cisk Lager, Cisk Excel Low Carb Lager, Cisk Pilsner, Cisk Premium Lager, Cisk Strong Lager and the fruit-flavoured range, Cisk Chill.
