A murder in Birkirkara led to a suspect being shot and killed in St Julian’s by police.
At around 2am, a woman was killed in Birkirkara.
Officers went to the scene of the murder in Birkirkara while a second team of officers responded to a report of a man with a gun near the Hilton Hotel in St Julian’s.
A stand-off between the suspect and police followed and as the suspect threatened police with a weapon, officers fired killing the suspect.
Investigations are ongoing.
