The Malta Premier League and the national broadcaster PBS have made a significant investment in enhancing the match day experience for the many audiences following Malta Premier matches set to begin next week.
Over the years, television viewers have raised concerns about the main camera
position filming live matches from the enclosure at the National Stadium, which often
denied the real stadium atmosphere during matches.
This substantial investment will establish a new camera position from the Millennium
Stand, allowing viewers from home to immerse themselves in the thrilling
environment and noise generated by fans in attendance, particularly those in the
West A and West C stands under the canopy.
The main camera will be positioned at a point directly opposite the main stand of the
stadium, catching the most important facilities over the 90 minutes of action, such as
VIP boxes, team benches, and press areas.
A permanent studio has also been installed at the Millennium Hall, facilitating all TV
production, pre-match buildup and other media requirements from the Millennium
Stand.
This initiative is just one of several innovative projects implemented by the Malta
Premier League, aiming to provide a better experience and higher standards as we
gear up for the start of the 360Sports Malta Premier League on Friday next week.
