During an interview on LovingMalta, Prime Minister Robert Abela gave a cool response when asked about Jason Micallef possibly standing for the vacant post of Deputy Leader for Party Affairs of the Labour Party.
“Jason Micallef contributed to the PL in the past and I believe he can still contribute,” Abela responded.
The Prime Minister expanded by adding, “When your time is up and you’ve given your contribution, don’t come back.”
Jason Micallef was Secretary General of the Labour Party from 2003 to 2009.
