Sliema Wanderers and FC Noah settled for a goalless draw in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round at the Centenary Stadium on Thursday.
The Armenians therefore qualify for the third qualifying round with a 7-0 aggregate score following the comfortable win obtained in the first leg at home.
The visitors went close with an Erald Cinari effort from outside the area which was turned into a corner by goalkeeper Kelvin Emeka Agu on 18 minutes and just past the half hour, a freekick by Goncalo Gregorio partially saved partially by Agu with the ball eventually being cleared into a corner.
Sliema replied with a corner from the left from which Henrique Murilo’s header was deflected into another corner on 34 minutes. Three minutes later, Steve PIsani served Vito Plut who failed to connect from close range.
In the second half, play was concentrated in midfield and the two goalkeepers were hardly tested although the visitors almost notched the winner on the 90th through Petrsoyan but his conclusion was deflected into a corner which ended just wide.
