Following a goalless draw at the Zahir Pajaziti Stadium in Podujevo last week, Hamrun Spartans will be all out to win as they host FC Ballkani in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Tuesday, kick-off at 20:00.
The draw in the first leg leaves wide open the battle for a spot in the third qualifying round of the competition where the team which emerges as winner would be facing Larne FC of Northern Ireland.
As expected, Ballkani, who managed to qualify for the group stage of the competition in the last two years, created the better chances. However the Spartans did a good job in keeping them at bay.
Two years ago, the Spartans made it to the play-off round of the UEFA Europa Conference League after eliminating Alashkert, Velez Mostar and Nevski Sofia while last season, after being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League, they reached the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League after eliminating Dinamo Tbilisi.
