21 persons were found to be living in Malta without proper papers during police inspections in St Paul’s Bay and Qawra on Sunday. They were transferred to a Detention Centre, pending the necessary preparations to be returned to their country of origin or to the country in which they are permitted to reside.
The police carried out the inspections together with the other immigration and employment entities, as well as with the Detention Services Agency.
