Prime Minister Robert Abela is believed to be ready to nominate his former chief of staff and EU expert Glenn Micallef as Malta’s next European Commissioner.
Before joining the Office of the Prime Minister, Micallef worked at Malta’s representative office in Brussels.
Micallef resigned from his position at the Office of the Prime Minister shortly after the 8th June elections, a decision he said had been planned before the elections.
