The Minister for National Heritage, Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici launched the Student Summer Program 2024, through which a season full of wonderful learning and educational experiences will be provided for children and young people who they have our country’s heritage dear to their heart.
Minister Bonnici explained that this year’s program will be spread from July to September and will be offering 19 activities that focus on the theme of the sea. “This program is serving to raise awareness among the youngest generations about the importance of protecting our oceans and seas,” explained Dr. Bonnici. He said that the events in the program offer a wonderful experience of various subjects and historical sites, so that all students who participate have fun while making the most of the Heritage Student Passport. Vanessa Ciantar, the Assistant Manager of the Education and Outreach Section within Heritage Malta, explained how the events in the program are designed to offer a vibrant exploration of various topics and historical sites, thus ensuring an experience wonderful for all students. Each activity will take place in a safe and controlled environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines. The program is open to those who have the Heritage Malta Student Passport, which can be obtained for free from all schools in Malta and Gozo. The space for each activity is limited, so parents are encouraged to think early to secure a place for their children.
