The Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri visited the reconstruction work being done on Triq ta Wara s-Sur, Victoria Town, which has now joined Triq l’Imgħalem through a much needed new junction.
Minister Clint Camilleri said that the work on Triq ta Wara s-Sur is going well, where after the completion of the first part, the residential one, the work is now focused on the second and last phase of ‘ this project. A project that, once completed, will serve to considerably ease the traffic from the center of Victoria while a bottleneck that used to create inconvenience for drivers will be eliminated once and for all. ” This project will also make it easier for the residents of Zebbug and Għasri in their daily travel,” said Minister Camilleri.
“This was one of a number of important decisions that were taken in order to address the traffic challenge in Victoria City. I also remind you that work has started on Triq Ēorġ Pisani, which will reduce traffic from the center of Rabat for all those coming and going from Marsalforn,” Minister Camilleri explained.
Minister Camilleri concluded by saying, “These are projects of a certain magnitude and the need to carry them out has long been felt. Committed to continue working on more road building projects in Gozo, as promised.”
