The Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri launched two schemes for the sector of voluntary and sports organizations in Gozo, the Gozo NGO Scheme and the Promotion of Sports Initiatives and Facilities Scheme, with a total value of almost €200,000 in order to give financial aid to those organizations that work in the communities in Gozo.
“The Gozo NGO Scheme is aimed at voluntary organizations with initiatives and small projects in the cultural, social and environmental field in Gozo. This is while the Promotion of Sports Initiatives and Facilities Scheme is addressed to voluntary sports associations in Gozo in order to improve sports facilities and to increase participation in physical activity,” Minister Camilleri explained.
Minister Camilleri went on to explain that the Voluntary and Sports Associations that apply and meet the criteria will be given up to a maximum of €5,000 so that they can carry out small projects that benefit the Gozitan community, as well as move forward in the their work.
