A few days ago, the wife of the Prime Minister, Dr. Lydia Abela, announced for the fourth consecutive year the “Gift with Love” initiative.
Like the previous year, the initiative is being done with a difference after Mrs. Abela accepted Jake Vella’s wish again to collect food products for the animals or other related products at the entrance of the Mater Hospital God
Dr. Abela recalled how this initiative was started through Jake’s desire a year ago and she also spoke about the success she brought with her “Gift with Love with a difference” last year through the love shown by the -Maltese and Gowis for animals.
In this context, Dr. Abela addressed Jake and praised him for his commitment and dedication in this initiative. “I remember very well when a year ago we fulfilled your dream for the first time to start collecting products and food for animals in the Hospital ward. We showed how successful it really was and how much we cheered animals and people who work in the sanctuaries,” said Mrs. Abela.
“In a visit that the Prime Minister and I made a few months ago we gave you the word that in December we will come here and give life to this hall again with the initiative “A gift with love with a difference “. Today we are here to together with you again invite the general public to express their altruistic value and give a voice to those who don’t have it,” said the Prime Minister’s wife.
“Thus I encourage everyone who visits Mater Dei Hospital during this festive season to leave animal food products or other products with the aim of really having a “Gift with Love with a difference”, Dr. Abela concluded.
For his part, Jake thanked Mrs. Abela for again offering to be part of this initiative and encouraged everyone to participate so that it really is a Christmas that thinks of everyone.
The initiative is open until December 21st.
