Female students with interactive classes on esports and video game development

“This is a unique opportunity that is being given to you where you can in a practical way better understand the new industries of esports and video game development and how they can be an interesting career later in your life.” Minister for the Economy, the message from Minister for European Funds and Lands Silvio Schembri during a visit he made to Mater Boni Consili St Joseph School in Paola that is offering IT lessons in a more interactive and practical way for students.

Mater Boni Consili St Joseph School of Paola has joined Level Academy, to train its students in particular aspects of IT including training on esports and video game development. This type of training, while being more interactive, aims to use an esports and video game development platform to bring students closer to technology and even to specific careers that these industries are offering.

“We need more young people to approach these industries and above all we need more women to approach careers in IT and innovation. This is also linked to the work of the ministry where continuous work is being done to bring more young Maltese people to choose careers in IT. The technological revolution is upon us and the plan that was announced last November, Digital Malta, will lead our country to be at the forefront of this revolution,” concluded Minister Silvio Schembri.
