Eight people were killed and some were seriously injured in a mass shooting in the northern German city of Hamburg, according to police.
According to local media the shooting at a Jehovah’s Witnesses centre took place at about 9pm local time on Thursday.
Police say investigations into the motives behind the attack continue.
They said the shooting was carried out by a lone gunman who may be among the dead, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.
