A Conservative MP, who did not want to be named, has claimed moves to trigger a vote of no confidence in Ms Truss’s leadership were already underway following her recently announced finance recovery plans, Sky News reports.

The government’s mini-budget appears to reward high-earners while giving a 1p tax reduction to the majority of working people. No windfall tax on energy companies and the lifting a the cap on bankers bonus’s have not been well received by the public, unions and now it appears Tory MP’s themselves are not happy with the moves.
