King Charles, who will now be officially known as King Charles III, paid tribute to his mother Queen Elizabeth.
He described his mother’s death as a moment of great sorrow for him and members of his family.
King Charles said that the Queen was a beloved mother and her loss will be felt keenly in the country, the kingdom and the Commonwealth as well as by a large number of people around the world.
He said that at this moment of grief he and his family can console themselves by the fact that the Queen was loved and respected.
