On Saturday evening, 25kg of suspected cocaine drugs, with a street value of around €2.2 million were seized during an operation by the Police Drugs Squad.
A Moldovan man and a Russian woman were arrested as they arrived in Malta from Sicily in a vehicle, with the drugs found hidden in the fuel tank.
