Housing Authority:7 New projects in 5 localities

Minister for Social Accommodation Roderick Galdes and Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat announce housing estate open space regeneration projects

Minister for Social Housing Roderick Galdes, together with Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat, addressed a news conference in Attard, announcing seven landscaping, greening and urban development projects in Attard. 5 localities in Malta, which will be made through the intervention of the Housing Development Fund, a special fund within the Housing Authority, with money donated by the Malta Community and Malta Residence Agency.

These projects will take the form of extensive works in two gardens in Mosta, two sports complexes in Siġġiewi, the renovation and improvement of a major sports complex in Qormi, another green space in -Kalkara, and a garden in Attard, which will become a reality through an investment of more than one million euros. These projects form part of a wide range of initiatives being developed by the Housing Development Fund with the aim of improving the quality of life of residents living in urban residential areas, both those close to projects. social housing, as well as in other towns and villages.

Minister Roderick Galdes stated that “our towns and villages are our home, as much as our residential property. This vision motivated us to create the Housing Development Fund, a fund that is already bearing fruit because today we are announcing 7 necessary projects in 5 localities around Malta “.

The collaboration between the Ministry of Social Housing and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Citizenship and Communities will translate into new or improved sports recreation areas for hundreds of promising young people and athletes, as well as new green spaces in the heart of urban centres.
