More than 450 workers on the first day of the ‘Beautify Malta’ campaign

More than 450 workers from various government departments and entities today started a beautification campaign all over Malta to give a better look to the country. The works involve general cleaning of roads and beaches, maintenance of lighting, painting, cleaning of dirt with public buildings, new traffic signs, and collection of bulky waste in various areas.

This campaign, announced by Prime Minister Robert Abela, is being coordinated by the Office of Chief Permanent Secretary Mario Cutajar. Among the departments and entities that were involved today in the first day of this campaign are those of Public Cleanliness and Maintenance, Public Works and Enemalta. The ‘Beautify Malta’ campaign will continue throughout May and arrangements are being made to maintain the maintenance of the work that has been done even after the campaign.
