Launch of an emergency plan by the Support Agency

The health and safety of workers and customers in all Support Agency centers is a priority. With an investment of € 60,000, it has announced the launch of an emergency plan that includes up-to-date health and safety plans on the Agency’s buildings, including nine day centers running this Agency.

Aġenzija Sapport is working on an improvement project in the facilities of eight day centers in Malta (two located in Mtarfa, Fleur de Lys, Swatar, Vittoriosa, Paola, Malta). Senglea, Ħal Far) and another in Gozo (Għajnsielem) through the installation of a new fire alarm system and training for employees. 270 employees hold a valid First Aid certificate, and a substantial number of workers have received training and certification in other safety areas, including firefighting and Health and Safety, while 15 employees are recognized. as Health and Safety Representatives.

During a visit to the Imtarfa day center by Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli, it was explained how Aġenzija Sapport ensures that people with disabilities who attend day centers can benefit from modern facilities and , above all, a safe environment.

This project is part of a larger plan that also sees an evaluation exercise for all Agency centers and residences, installation of emergency exit signs, design of new procedures and review of the policy. -An agency on health and safety at work, and increased investment in staff training, always in line with guidelines and legislation related to health and safety.
