The consultation process for the Marsalforn breakwater is open to the public

Addressing a news conference in Marsalforn, the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri announced that the consultation process for the Marsalforn breakwater project has been opened to the public.

Minister Camilleri explained how this ambitious project forms an integral part of the masterplan that has been drawn up for this tourist area so important for Gozo, which is why the Ministry for Gozo has submitted an application to the Planning Authority for Gozo. rebuilding a breakwater and other fences to protect this beach from the elements. This project is a major phase in the Marsalforn masterplan, following the generation of the Menqa area and the ongoing work on the Marsalforn waterfront.

Minister Camilleri stated that, “All this will lead to a solution so that, while protecting Marsalforn beach from the sea, we do so sensitively and with minimal visual impact.” Here he emphasized the importance of balancing beach protection with visual impact.
