A 59-year-old Italian man who lives in Mellieha was seriously injured following a collision with a police car in Qormi on Monday night.
The accident happened in St Edward Street in Qormi shortly after midnight.
The officers in the car gave in injured man first aid until an ambulance arrived and took him to Mater Dei Hospital.
