Malta Chamber of Commerce give PM public procurement recommendations

Prime Minister Robert Abela was presented with a document prepared by the Maltese Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry with a number of recommendations on public procurement.

The document was presented to the Prime Minister during a meeting he had with a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce in the Auberge de Castille.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce David Xuereb said that the document was drawn up after a process of consultation with members and is a result of the work of the Chamber to further promote good governance.

In response to the presentation of the document, Prime Minister Abela praised the initiative of the Maltese Chamber of Commerce and said that the government will continue its work to raise standards in the field of good governance. including that to improve the public procurement process.

This is with the aim of further increasing transparency and the Maltese and Gozitan people taking the best value for money in the provision of services.
