Hamrun back on top of premiership

Hamrun Spartans have regained top spot in the BOV Premiership after recovering from a goal down to beat Mosta 3-1, despite playing much of the match with ten men.

Mosta took the lead through Bojan Laljavic middway through the first half.

Hamrun then had Elkin Serrano Valero sent off with less than ten minutes of the half remaining and in the final minute Spartans drew level when Ailton Jorge dos Santos headed home.

Franklin Sasere put Hamrun in front shortly after the restart and sealed the win inside the last twenty minutes with his second goal of the night.

The win sees them back on top, two points ahead of Hibernians.
