Bars and clubs will remain closed until 1st February as health authorities continue to combat the Covid-19 virus.
They had been due to reopen on 1st January.
Professor Charmaine Gauci, Superintendent of Public Health, appealed to everyone to follow government guidelines to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
