The Anti-Drug Police Squad arrested a 24-year-old man from Marsaxlokk after being caught in possession of an amount of cocaine.
After several days of observation, late last night, the police surrounded the man while
he was driving in Triq it-Trunċiera, Marsaxlokk.
A search of the vehicle found about 60 small packages of cocaine, 2 small packets of cannabis, ready to sell and a large amount of cash.
Duty Magistrate Dr Caroline Farrugia Frendo LL.D was informed of the case and appointed
to lead an inquiry.
The man is being held at Floriana Police Headquarters and is expected to be brought to court on Tuesday on charges related to drug trafficking, among others.
Police investigations are ongoing.
