Jurgen de Gabriele scored all three goals for Hibernians in their 3-2 win against Mosta.
Twice Mosta went in front, only to be pegged back by de Gabriele.
Bojan Kaljevic put them in front inside the opening ten minutes.
Moments later Hibs were awarded a penalty when Rafael Morisco handled the ball inside the box but Jake Grech’s spot kick hit the post.
Degabriele slotted home the first of his three goals on the quarter hour mark to level the scores but just before the break Mosta went ahead for a second time when Bojan Kaljevic took advantage of a defensive mix-up to fire home past Calleja Cremona.
That lead lasted barely 60 seconds as Degabriele again found the net to make it 2-2 at the break.
Hibernians took the lead for the first time when Degabriele completed his hat-trick with twenty minutes remaining.
The win means Hibs are now only two points behind leaders Hamrun and share second place with Gzira, Sliema and Gudja.
