HSBC Malta supports TradeMalta’s new series of webinars on international business

HSBC Bank Malta is supporting a new series of five webinars on international business organised by TradeMalta.

The 90-minute webinars, which follow on from a successful first series earlier in the year, aim to help enterprises to navigate an economic landscape impacted by COVID-19.

This new series of webinars will elaborate on market research, the post-Brexit UK market, the international business insight of three software companies, and the findings of the HSBC Navigator Report.

The webinars will take place on 21 October, 28 October, 13 November, 18 November and 25 November, from 11.00am to 12.30pm.

Joyce Grech, Head of Commercial Banking at HSBC Malta, said: “As a strategic partner
of TradeMalta since its inception, HSBC recognises the importance of supporting initiatives that help entrepreneurs with international aspirations to improve their knowledge, and grow their businesses. COVID-19 has shaken international markets, creating new challenges for businesses.  In this highly uncertain environment, leaders must be ready for more unexpected developments. We believe that the second round of webinars will help businesses to prepare for and successfully weather these challenges.”

Anton Buttigieg, CEO of TradeMalta, said: “Following the success of the webinars held earlier this year, we recognised that there is a strong appetite for knowledge-sharing in the Maltese business community. We are therefore hosting this second round of webinars with the aim to further support Malta-based entrepreneurs who are looking to expand internationally, thus enhancing their preparedness for the fast-changing circumstances we live in today. With the full support of HSBC Malta, I am confident that TradeMalta will continue to deliver high quality events on international business, providing knowledge and intelligence during these critical times.”

Each of the webinars will be led by experts in their respective fields, including Morgan Parnis (Esprimi), Lawrence Zammit (MISCO), John Degiorgio (Shireburn), David Vella (Altaro), David Darmanin (Hotjar), H.E. Wamkele Mene, Economist JP Fabri, Joyce Grech – Head of Commercial Banking HSBC Malta and Warwick Long – Managing Director, Head of Commercial Banking, UK & Europe International at HSBC Bank plc.
