UK faces tougher Covid measures next week

Prime Minister Boris Johnson

As the number of new coronavirus cases continues to rise alarmingly, the government is considering bringing in new stricter measures to combat the increase, according to reports in much of the media.

These could include shutting bars and restaurants across parts of the country.

Similar action has already been taken in Scotland where from Friday all pubs and restaurants in central Scotland are to close.
