First cruise liner arrives after five month absence

MSC Grandiosa entered the Grand Harbour on Friday, becoming the first cruise liner to sail to the island since March.

Passsengers will not be allowed ashore for individual tours but will have to be part of organised groups.

All passengers were tested for coronavirus before boarding the ship at its various ports of call.

Malta closed its ports to ships and cruise liners in March when the coronavirus was first detected.
