On Tuesday evening Police Drugs Squad arrested three men in Fgura following a successful operation on drug trafficking.
One of the men – a 24-year-old from Marsaxlokk – was arrested after Officers tailgated, surrounded and stopped his vehicle, following information that the driver may be trafficking drugs. A search found him in possession of substances suspected to be cocaine and cannabis, together with an amount of cash. He is expected to be arraigned in Court later today.
While the operation was in motion, the Police noted two men acting suspiciously in a vehicle a short distance away. The Police approached the vehicle and a search found them in possession of substance suspected to be cannabis. The men, aged 19 and 21 years, were taken to the Police lock-up in Floriana for further investigations.
