Following a heavy loss to Scotland and back-to-back 0-2 defeats to England and Lithuania, Malta take on Slovenia in their fourth Group F tie in their World Cup qualifiers at Ta’Qali on Friday night.
Malta coach Pietro Ghedin had to make several changes with Jonathan Caruana suspended and Paul Fenech out injured.
Luke Gambin is expected to start following his return from suspension while up front Ghedin has the choice of Michael Mifsud, Andre Schembri and Alfred Effiong.
