A 48-year-old German woman lost her life after she found herself in difficulty while diving at Ras ir-Reqqa, limits of Marsalforn, Gozo on Saturday morning.
Authorities say the incident happened at 11am.
The woman was taken to Gozo General Hospital by an ambulance but was later certified dead.
