At a political meeting in Balzan, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that the government was changing a cancerous heavy oil power station into a clean enviromental gas powered station.
He spoke of the numbers of people in work, his Labour government had seen 20,000 more people in employment with 5,000 more women in work.
The prime minister admitted that a problem of having more people working was an increase in traffic, a problem he said his government was working on.
