Paola Health Centre ambulance gets 1,000 calls in six months

Paola Health Centre received over 1,000 requests for an ambulance in the first six months that the new service has been in operation.

The Paola ambulance service covers 21 towns and villages in the sout of Malta, including Cottonera, Paola, Santa Luċija, Birżebbuġa and Xgħajra.

Health Minister Chris Fearne visited the centre and said that the reponse by the public showed how valuable such a service was, a service he said which had been halted by previous government.
