MTA launches Trainee scheme through Erasmus

The Malta Tourism Authority recently launched a professional trainee-ship consisting of a work-based learning activity on how to increase sales, for owners and key staff of restaurants in Malta and Gozo.

This is the first time that such a trainee-ship is taking place.

Through this work-based learning activity all successful participants will learn how to increase their sales through better and more effective use of their website. The professional trainee-ship fully funded through Erasmus+ will take place in Rome over a one-week period with the first intake leaving Malta on Sunday 20th November and returning on Saturday the 26 th November 2016.

The second intake will be leaving Malta on the 22nd January and returning on the 28 th January 2017.  There will be a total of 4 intakes over a two-year period,each catering for 12 persons.

All participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and know-how in the following areas:positioning their web site among the first search results on Google pages; increasing contacts and online sales,creating effective pay per click campaigns, using Facebook and Instagram to increase business and to sustain abetter image of their businesses.
