Andreas Loew of Germany and Australian James Willett both hit 140 to set Olympic record as they top leaderboard.

 

Update 17.00 Team GB’S Tim Kneale edges in front with 114 clays just one ahead of Australia’s James Willett.

It is looking bleak for Malta’s William Chetcuti who is simply not in this competition.

Update4 . Italian Marco Innocenti still leads with 86 clays as William Chetcuti struggles to find his form. The Maltese shooter has hit 71 clays and is in real danger of missing the final shoot-off

Update 2. 16.00 Gold medal pre-tournament favourite James Willett has got off to a flying start hitting 30 from 30.

Malta’s William Chetcuti is lying second from last with just 22 clays.

15.00 GB’s Steve Scott has opened a slight lead in the early opening of the Men’s Double Trap, hitting 23 clays while Malta’s William Chetcuti seems to be struggling at the moment.

He is 7 clays behind the GB shooter.
