A 24-year-old man from Mtarfa tragically lost his life in a car accident near the Kirkop tunnels, close to Malta International Airport, at around 9:15 pm on Monday night, ONE News reports.
His passenger, a 23-year-old man, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and is in stable condition. Emergency services arrived at the scene, where they confirmed the driver’s death and assisted the injured passenger. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
