A 30-year-old woman was given a 28-year prison sentence for the attempted murder of a jeweller in his shop in Zurrieq in August 2023.
Donna Spiteri and two accomplices had entered the shop where they assaulted the owner, Joseph Carabott, leaving him tied and seriously injured.
Mr Carabott was taken to Mater Dei Hospital and today remains under constant medical care.
