Robert Abela places economy top of agenda at General Conference

Closing the Labour Party’s General Conference, Prime Minister Robert Abela placed the economy top of his agenda.

He said his government will work for economic growth that will bring better quality for everyone. The PM also said that a strong economy will reduce the need to bring in foreign workers.

Next months Budget will be better that previous ones he said.

The Prime Minister highlighted some of Labour’s achievements including more stability in energy and water prices, increase in children’s allowances and an annual pension increase as well as a better civil service.

Prime Minister Robert Abela also paid tribute to Karl Gouder who passed away during the week.
