“Our country will continue to give incentives that are giving results that lead to the creation of innovative start-ups that offer quality careers particularly for young people and families with a healthy income”.
This was the main message of Prime Minister Robert Abela during a visit to the offices of the Maltese companies Scope Solutions Malta and Dedaub, which work from inside the Malta Life Sciences Park in San Ġwann and which began as start-ups.
Scope Solutions works in the field of financial services and Dedaub in Blockchain. The Prime Minister met with a number of workers while he also spoke with the management of the two companies where he was given an explanation of the work they carry out.
While the Prime Minister Robert Abela accompanied by the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri was given details about the journey that led to the creation of these companies and the realities they faced as they based themselves in their respective fields, he was also informed that both companies are planning to expand and grow their operations overseas. “The experiences of different start-ups and eventually scale-ups show that the investment being made with support schemes from Malta Enterprise are important for more young people to explore the ambitious ideas that lead to the creation of innovative companies that give opportunities and careers to even other young people”, said Prime Minister Robert Abela as he stressed on the direction given by the Government for growth in favor of quality and not quantity in areas that can strengthen the added value of the Maltese economy. Here he also praised the sense of entrepreneurship of the two Maltese companies that were determined to create an innovative operation and today gave quality careers to other workers.
