Police now say that the man arrested over the murder of an elderly man and his wife in Marsa on Sunday morning is a 34-year-old man from Ghana who had been living in the stables where the murder took place.
It is believed that two other migrants who also lived there were slightly injured when they tried to stop the suspect.
A large pair of scissors, believed to be the murder weapon, has been recovered.
