Hibernians made it two wins in a row as they beat neighbours Sta Lucia 3-2 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.
Summer signing Giannis Bastianos fired them in front in the opening minutes when he came in from the right wing and sent a cross into the top corner leaving Da Paz in the Sta Lucia goal stranded. An Antwi cross set up the Greek forward to make it 2-0 after eighteen minutes.
Hibs were cruising and a penalty minutes later seemed the perfect chance to wrap up the game. Antwi however saw his spot-kick saved, a missed opportunity for Hibs and a relief for Sta Lucia.
The save gave Sta Lucia a new lease of life and they surged forward looking to cut the deficit. On the half hour a miss tackle by Akwi allowed Tatsuro the chance to get into the box but his shot sailed wide.
Sta Lucia did pull a goal back through Lucal Silva Sena shortly after the restart and with an hour gone, they were level when Adam Bradshaw beat Kone in the Hibs goal.
Jurgen Degabriele save Hibs blushes with a late winner to keep them in the leading group in the premiership. But Hibernians will have to be sharper when they take on Floriana on Tuesday.
